TA01: Just Monkeyin' Around: Guerilla Marketing And Recruiting
Aimed at team captains who are facing roadblocks in their attempts to promote their teams and raise money, this workshop is designed to fill your toolbox with some proven techniques and ideas. Learn strategies to raise awareness and dollars in a restricted environment where sending email and hanging posters may not be an option!

TA02: Strength In Numbers: Building A Team Committee - Repeated
The workshop will focus on the benefits of a team committee. Hear from Team Captains who are successfully using the committee structure to grow and manage their teams. This will also be beneficial to individuals interested in forming teams who may feel overwhelmed by the prospect of doing everything by themselves!

TA03: Show Me The Money: Team Fundraising Events - Repeated
This fast-paced workshop will take the form of a poster presentation session, with opportunities to learn from a wide variety of team captains who have creative (and successful!) ways to raise money for their teams. This will be a very interactive session with opportunities to network and share some great ideas.

TA04: Activism - It's all about Relationships
How do we meet the needs of persons with MS through activism? In this workshop explore the spectrum of ways to get involved in the Society's MS activism agenda. From on-line MS Action Network members to engaging in face-to-face meetings with decision makers, our MS activists are change agents. Find out how to engage your own network of family and friends in the Society's activism to broaden and strengthen our relationships with elected officials and decision makers throughout the year.

TA05: The Health Care Community-Collaborations and Partnerships
Health care partnerships are the focus of this workshop. Understand the critical role of health care providers and the benefits of partnerships. Discuss strategies for working in collaboration to provide maximum independence and quality of life for people with MS and their families.

TA06: Pharmaceutical Companies: A Changing Landscape
The "rules of engagement" with our pharmaceutical partners have changed with guidelines recently created by the federal Office of the Inspector General (OIG). Legal funding, access, and programmatic issues will be addressed in this workshop.

TA07: Being An Ambassador for the Society
Learn how you, a person with MS, or you, a friend of the Society can best talk about multiple sclerosis, the Society, and the Movement. In this workshop, learn what works and what doesn't from those who have successfully partnered together.

TA08: Board Relationship Building - Repeated
How do we create and strengthen those relationships that are critical to a board and chapter's success? Discuss with others what a truly effective relationship between the Chapter President and the board looks like and what are the critical components of success; hear ideas for creating stronger partnerships between board members; share successes on how individually and collectively as a board we can strengthen critical community partnerships including those with donors and corporate sponsors.

TA09: Board Recruitment and Development -Repeated
How do we align volunteer leadership with our strategic goal of mobilizing the talents and resources of the millions of people who want to do something about MS? Hear about effective board recruitment strategies; discuss successful board leadership succession planning; share ideas on reengaging and reenergizing your board. 

TA10: Chapter Chair Orientation- Part I - Invitation Only
For incoming Chapter Board Chairs, or those who will assume that responsibility within the next 9 - 12 months, and their Chapter Presidents.

TP11: Digital World: Using Technology For Your Team
From the Society's online fundraising tools to social media such as Blogs, MySpace, and Face Book, this workshop will focus on using creative technologies to enhance your team's virtual presence. Learn about the Society's web tools as well as other creative ways to promote your team and provide a virtual place for team members and your supporters to connect with you.

TP12: Home Grown: Developing Your Friends & Family Team
With an emphasis on both Walk and Bike teams, this workshop will teach you how to encourage your friends and family members to Join the Movement, by joining your team, fundraising for you, or forming their own teams. Topics will include team communication and successful fundraising techniques.

TP13: Corporate Takeover: Developing National Teams
This case study-driven workshop will teach you how to grow your corporate team from a local level to a national level, from garnering corporate support and recognition to adding teams around the country and effectively communicating throughout your company.

TP14: Movers & Shakers For Groups And Committees
Learning how to facilitate a committee meeting is the focus of this workshop. Whether you're a member or the facilitator of a group or committee, learn how to build the foundation for a strong, effective group with shared goals, knowledge and expertise.

TP15: 'Live Long & Prosper' Advisory Groups
Legal issues, business, long term/financial planning, accessibility, service animals, adaptive technology, etc., - partnering with the pros. This workshop will focus on working with the pros, what's available now, and what could be?

TP16: Voluntary Engagement as a Strategy for Organizational Capacity Building - Repeated
This fast paced workshop will discuss strategies for capacity building by engaging high impact volunteers. Find out how your chapter can improve performance and impact in organizational effectiveness, financial stability, program quality, advocacy, outreach and growth. Learn how to align resources toward the strategic response goal of "mobilizing the talents and resources of the millions of people who want to do something about MS".

TP17: What You Need To Know To Talk About Research
Learn key messages and techniques that will help you convey the excitement and hope offered by the fast-paced world of MS research.

TP18: Board Relationship Building -Repeat

TP21: Growing a Major Gift Campaign:  Essential Partnerships Between Staff, Volunteers, Donors and Our Communities
Increasing major gift income is a high priority for the Society.  In this workshop for staff and volunteers we will identify ways to forge effective relationships with individuals who have the interest and ability to support our mission.   We will discuss the roles and responsibilities of staff and volunteers, goals and expectations, and strategies for working together in donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
Audience:  General:  for staff and volunteers who have an interest in major gift fundraising.
